Screenshots from the 1971 Michael Caine film GET CARTER, partly filmed in the newly constructed Trinity Square car park in Gateshead. Designed by Rodney Gordon of the Owen Luder partnership this Brutalist structure was a sister project to the Dunston Tower.

Geraldine Moffatt as Glenda screeches up the entrance ramp

When plans for the car park's demolition were announced Owen Luder said

"It'll be like Gateshead's had it's front teeth knocked out!"

Glenda won't be screeching up this ramp again unless she's brought a strimmer.

Like it's sister the Derwent Tower, the car park dominated the Gateshead skyline

The "Cafe" at the top as featured in the film was never ever used as a cafe or anything else.

The architect Owen Luder visited the car park shortly before it was demolished

When it was demolished it looked exactly the same inside as it did in the film. The views were just as spectacular was they were in 1971.
